These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Software Factory website at thesoftwarefactory.blog and the newsletter offered through it (together, the "Service"), operated by Yoshiko Studios LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service or subscribing to the newsletter, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

The Software Factory is a personal blog about software engineering, organizational culture, and leadership, plus an opt-in email newsletter. Content is provided for general informational purposes and reflects the author's own views, not professional advice.

Subscription is voluntary and free. When you submit your email address, you consent to receive the newsletter and a welcome email.
Subscriptions are single opt-in — your address is active immediately.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email. Unsubscribing stops all newsletter email. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to manage subscriptions and deliver email. We send newsletter email only; we do not sell or rent your email address.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
Submit another person's email address without their permission, or submit false, automated, or abusive signups;
Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; or
Reproduce or redistribute substantial portions of the site's content without permission, except as allowed by Section 4.

Unless otherwise noted, the content on this site is © Yoshiko Studios LLC. You may read, share, and quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back to the source. You may not republish whole articles or use the content for commercial purposes without prior written permission. Third-party names and marks are the property of their respective owners.
